Rumor: Tom Cruise to Appear on Glee?

Apparently, Tom Cruise is being approached by the Glee to appear in future episodes.

A source told Showbiz Spy: "The producers love the idea that Tom might create a character just like Les Grossman in Tropic Thunder.

"His dance rendition to Flo Rida's 'Low' went down so well with audiences and they know something like that would be just as popular, if not more so, on Glee."

They added: "At the moment they are in talks with Tom to play a failed and jaded popstar who is now teaching a Glee Club at a rival school but they are willing to let him have a lot of input in to his character just to try and get him on the show.

Brad Responds to Themed Episode Rumor

Brad Falchuk says some people have jumped the gun on the planned Justin Bieber episode of "Glee."

And he should know.

As an executive producer and creator of the hugely popular Tuesday FOX show -- along with Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan -- Falchuk was in from the start on talks about incorporating the teen star's music into an upcoming episode.

"It was so crazy over the weekend," Falchuk tells Zap2it. "We're not doing a Bieber tribute episode. It was never the idea to do a Bieber tribute episode. We went in and broke this story about Sam's (Chord Overstreet) relationship with Quinn (Dianna Agron). He's trying to juice that up and impress her, and he decides to sing to her ... because that's what people do on 'Glee.'

"In his way of seeing the world, and his hair, Sam decides to do a Bieber song ... and that's really the extent of it. A lot of the other guys are sort of impressed by that, so they want to get involved. And that's it.

"We do stuff like that all the time, for many different artists," Falchuk adds, "but if you're a reporter and you put 'Glee' and 'Bieber' in your story, you're going to get a lot of traffic. I think people got a little ahead of themselves. By the time the episode airs, this will have died down, but I think we've earned a certain level of trust with the audience that we're not going to sell out just yet."

While production continues on the post-Super Bowl "Glee" episode to air Sunday, Feb. 6, Falchuk also is looking forward to the two-show return appearance by Gwyneth Paltrow -- also singing on movie screens now in "Country Strong" -- as teacher Holly Holliday later this season.

"We fell in love with that character as we wrote it and as she did what she did with it," he says, "and it's obviously easy to love her. She's incredible, and she and Matt [Morrison] had great chemistry. Our original intention was for those characters to have a relationship, but we couldn't really make it work unless it was in sequential episodes.

"If you watch that first episode, that's obviously being cultivated, so it's perfect that she was available for more. It's a gift."

'Born This Way' episode on Glee?

Gleeks, I’ve got such amazing scoop that I almost piddled in my pants when I heard it so I can’t imagine how you’re gonna react: EW has learned exclusively that the phenomenal Gwyneth Paltrow is officially reprising her role as Holly Holliday for TWO episodes of Glee in the spring and she’s gettin’ it on with Mr. Schuester!!! Says co-creator Ryan Murphy, “Gwyneth is coming back for two episodes. She’s coming back specifically to date Will [Matthew Morrison]. Those two have become really good friends in real life and had really good chemistry. She’s coming back as a sex education teacher. Gwyneth and I are emailing, talking every week: What are we gonna sing? We’re trying to do something fantastic. So she’ll be [in episodes] 15 and 16. She comes back [to film] in January and she’s with us for three and a half weeks I think.”

You think that would be enough but I have even more redonkulous news: Lady Gaga just this week gave the Glee producers clearance for tackling her highly anticipated new single, “Born This Way,” which hasn’t even dropped yet! Murphy reveals that the song will be used in a March or April episode and will be centered around closeted gay bully Karofsky (Max Adler). “I love that that song is anthem,” says Murphy. “This show is by nature optimistic and I think a character like Karofsky could turn to booze or pills or alcohol and kill themselves or do something dark. But I also love Max and I love that character and I sorta want that character to have a happy ending. So I don’t really know what that’s going to be, but I do know we’re going to do a whole episode that’s about that song.”
And there’s one more Glee favorite returning: Kristin Chenoweth. She will be back as April Rhodes in the last batch of episodes of the season for a multi-episode arc.

Season 2′s second half is looking awfully good and really, really blonde!

Cory Monteith Hints Possibility of Rachel and Finn Reunion

Cory Monteith has given a clue of what the future holds for Rachel and Finn on "Glee". Making an appearance at the 2010 Hollywood Style Awards on Sunday, December 12, the 28-year-old hinted about the possibility of his character and Lea Michele's Rachel rekindling their romance, and teased that Finn "might forgive" Rachel.

"[Finn] is pretty hurt, but they were each other's first love. He might forgive her," Cory, who plays Owen in Selena Gomez-starring film "Monte Carlo", explained to Hollywood Life. However, when asked further about what he would do in Finn's shoes, he answered, "That's a loaded question." He went on to stress, "Forgiveness is simple."

Rachel and Finn's romance aside, "Glee" recent production has been canceled due to the cast member's sickness. According to Entertainment Weekly, several members of the cast were coming down with tonsillitis. However, the site also revealed that production will resume on Monday, December 13, adding that the scenes planned for December 10 will be rescheduled for January.

Confirming the report, Dianna Agron, who plays Quinn Fabray on the series, tweeted, "Note to self...should have gotten a flu shot. In bed, hoping that medicine, soup, my computer and a marathon of movies will be the cure." Meanwhile, Kevin McHale, who is famous for his portrayal of Artie Abrams on the musical series, wrote on his Twitter page, "So over being sick. This whole staying in bed thing seemed fun the 1st few days haha. On the mend!"

Bruce Springsteen to appear on Glee?

ROCKER Bruce Springsteen is planning to make a cameo appearance on Glee.

Insiders say the music legend is in talks to play Finn Hudson’s uncle in an episode where the members of the McKinley High School show choir play a bunch of his hits, including "Born in the USA", "Dancing in the Dark" and "Born to Run".

“Bruce is such an all-American icon we thought it would be great to get him on board,” said a show insider.

“His music is loved by everyone and it has such potential to fit into the show.

“The idea is he would have duets with Cory Monteith [Finn] and Lea Michele [Rachel Berry] too. Bruce is part of American culture — he would be perfect.

“The Glee versions of Journey’s songs have been a real hit and we just know Bruce’s songs would go down a storm too.”

Madonna, Lady GaGa and Britney Spears have all had their own Glee tributes.

Harry Shum Jr.: Lea Michele is NOT a diva!

Harry did an exclusive interview with Hollywoodlife and he talked about Lea's diva rumors:

Harry is leaping to Lea’s defense in the wake of co-star Amber Riley’s recent criticisms — and there may be drama between two other Glee stars. Find out who!

Reports of bad behavior have been swirling about Glee star Lea Michele pretty much since the series started last year. However, in the wake of fellow castmate Amber Riley’s complaint that she’s “always ordering everyone around”, another co-star, Harry Shum Jr., is swearing up and down that she’s NOT a diva!

"You know, it's all rumors. You see these magazines and they literally fabricate stuff out of nothing, the 28-year-old dancer told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock event in Los Angeles Sept. 27. "We sit there and laugh at it, we crack jokes about it. You can’t really believe all that you read."

But surely the rumors don’t come out of NOWHERE? Amber, 24, wasn’t provoked to say, "She's always ordering everyone around, demanding a particular outfit or a particular food at the snack table," without reason — right?

"We have a group of people that is drama fee,” Harry insisted. “When we hear about these things, we just laugh it off. It’s all love!"

But who may not be Mclovin each other? We spied Cory Monteith hanging by himself solo at the event, texting up a storm, while Mark Salling, Harry and Ryan Cabrera all palled around separately in a corner. In fact, Mark, 28, brushed right past Cory, also 28, without saying a word!
